Dublin, Ireland - 14th June 2019 - KamaGames, the largest European social mobile poker operator, are proudly celebrating their flagship title Pokerist’s, ninth year of innovation and gaming in the social casino landscape.
In the nine years since its launch, Pokerist has grown from a single title with simple, straightforward gameplay, to unquestionably one of the most diverse social mobile poker apps in the world.
Today, Pokerist has been localised into 28 languages and played competitively across no less than an impressive total of 233 countries. The company attributes Pokerist’s success to a constant focus on innovation, along with the regular release of exciting new features and games that keep players engaged and entertained. Among the most popular features released in the past nine years are the Party modes, Multi-Table Tournaments and KamaGames’ latest release, avatars!
On the heels of personalisation becoming ever more important to the gaming community at large, the latest innovation in Pokerist is the release of personalised avatars which launched in June 2019. With the ability to select gender, hairstyle, hair colour, eye colour and skin tone, players are able to create an avatar that is as unique as KamaGames’ portfolio of social casino games.
Once an avatar is designed to fit a player’s exact specifications, they’ll have the opportunity to clothe them with a wardrobe worthy of any high roller. Among the assortment of garments and accessories available to players, choices range from a slick jacket and top hat combination to a leather biker jacket and a collection of tattoos. Players looking to refresh their avatar quickly and easily can access a vast collection of pre-installed looks developed to the highest standard of detail.
This unique avatar constructor can only be found in the Pokerist app, showing once again, that KamaGames is at the forefront of innovation in the social casino genre.
In 2018, KamaGames announced the introduction of their innovative Party modes to Pokerist and have since built a portfolio that both challenges and entertains its millions of players. These modes include Hearts Party, Clone Party and Pair Party.
Roulette Party, the latest addition to these modes, presents an exciting new twist on classic Texas Hold’em poker where players receive extra facedown cards from the deck, which they then have to guess the colour of, red or black. Whether or not they’re allowed to keep the card depends entirely on their guess and can result in some interesting hands for players.
KamaGames also released the Party mode MTT alongside the Omaha Poker MTT. Available now via Pokerist, these two inventive new tournaments combine successful gaming mechanics such as MTTs and Party modes, along with Omaha Poker.
Each of these key individual elements have been a hit amongst players on their own and so by combining them, KamaGames aims to make these tournaments even more intricate and exciting.
KamaGames was the first operator on the social casino landscape to introduce MTTs to the sector, a gaming mechanic which was met with great excitement by Pokerist players.
The Party mode MTT and Omaha Poker MTT, are targeted to drive player engagement even further. In the Party mode MTTs, there will be four kinds of tournaments available to players, each with its own specific rules and special twist. These MTTs are titled Joker, 10 to Ace, Pair and Hearts.
The Omaha Poker MTT will see each player being dealt four cards in the preflop where they will then use two of those cards to make the best hand possible.
In the first half of 2019 alone, KamaGames undertook a number of significant expansions and updates to Pokerist, including making its hit games available on Facebook Games.
Developed on the Unity engine and using WebGL technology, KamaGames not only made their two headline titles, Pokerist and Blackjackist, available via this latest platform but also expanded this availability to other popular titles, including Roulettist, Slots, Omaha Poker, Baccarat, Craps and Teen Patti.
The company is confident that Facebook Games can be a strong vehicle for growth for KamaGames and intend to continue to develop on this platform for future releases.
KamaGames also recently updated the Poker Night in America app, allowing fans to play popular Multi-Table Tournaments and access the latest additions to the company’s growing portfolio of Party modes. Poker Night in America has brought Texas Hold’em poker to television screens nationwide in the US for six seasons so far and have recently announced their latest launch, Poker Night in America: Celebrity Home Game, which features popular sports celebrities playing poker.
KamaGames has partnered with Poker Night in America and Rush Street Productions on the Poker Night in America app since 2017 and both companies are delighted to see this further success of the television series and the positive impact this has had on driving players to the Poker Night in America app.
Speaking on the continued success of KamaGames, CEO Andrey Kuznetsov commented: “KamaGames is fully committed to maintaining the high standard of gameplay we’ve built up over the last nine years. Our players have come to expect the regular roll-out of high-quality, expertly executed games and we will stick to that model of operating through the next nine years and beyond.
“Last year we committed ourselves to building on our already vast and innovative portfolio of games through our Pokerist app and thanks to the hard work of the KamaGames team in the first half of 2019, we’re certainly on track to deliver on that commitment. These recent releases are just a sample of the exciting plans that KamaGames has in store for the remainder of the year. We’re looking forward to seeing how our players will engage with all of our new features and games throughout the coming months, particularly our compelling new personalised avatars.
As we’ve done with the introduction of avatars, we’ll continue to look at the needs of our players and moving forward, find creative new ways to adapt our games to meet those needs.”
